Border security (Cesfront) reported the arrest of four Haitians in the border province of Dajabón. The Haitians were arrested after trying to enter their country with illegal weapons. The detained foreigners were taken to the police station in Dajabón province.
The Specialized Corps of Land Border Security (Cesfront) in Dajabón carried out the arrest.
Cesfront identified the arrested as Dieuson Prospere, Jodeline Darlestin, Yenes Prospere and Cadet Kesnel.
The Cesfront explained that agents assigned to duty at the Batalla Sabana Larga Border Operations Base detained the Haitians, who were searched and a Glock, a Cherokee and a Carandai pistol were found inside the vehicle and as part of their luggage.
The security officers held 12,500 Dominican pesos and 11,250 Haitian gourdes, and 11 cell phones of different makes and models.
The detained foreigners were taken to the police station of Dajabón province to be brought to justice.
