The Hugo Mendoza Children’s Hospital (HPHM) made history being recognized with a second gold award granted by the judges in the Iberoamerican Quality Award 2022. The public hospital is the first public or private children’s hospital to receive the award on two occasions. The award is for excellence in hospital management.
The HPHM is the top-ranked local public hospital according to the Ministry of Public Administration ranking.
Dr. Dhamelisse Then, director of the Hugo Mendoza Pediatric Hospital, highlighted the full support of the National Health Service (SNS) and the passion, dedication of the medical and administrative staff. She said the coordinated effort makes the health center a model of national and Ibero-American reference.
The Ibero-American Quality Award is organized by the Ibero-American Foundation for Quality (FUNDIBEQ) and the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), a body attached to the Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government.
