Former US President Bill Clinton was in the Dominican Republic this past week and visited Isla Saona. The government recently completed the installation of a solar-sourced energy grid. Isla Saona is the most popular excursion in the Dominican Republic. The excursion takes tourists to enjoy a day at a pristine beach. Hotels are not allowed to operate in Saona Island.
