Diario Libre reports that the 911 emergency service is at the point of collapse after lack of maintenance has left billions in equipment deplorable.
A source revealed to Diario Libre that the main location in the National District is in a depressing situation of disrepair due to a lack of funding. Reports are that the teams of doctors and paramedics who provide emergency medical care services work in poor conditions.
The Medina administration opened 911 medical emergency facilities in 25 provinces nationwide.
After the story’s publication in Diario Libre, retired general Juan Manuel Mendez visited the newspaper to say that President Luis Abinader had ordered that funds be delivered to improve conditions at the 911 Emergency Service.
