The block of deputies of the opposition Dominican Liberation Party will not vote for the Fiscal System Bill submitted by the Presidency. The bill passed in the ruling PRM party majority Senate.
The bill would make mandatory in the Dominican Republic the use of electronic invoicing. It establishes the universal electronic invoicing tax system. The PLD legislators say the General Bill on Electronic Invoicing will harm small and medium-sized companies.
The deputies requested that the bill be sent to a committee for further review.
