President Luis Abinader placed in retirement 230 members of the National Police. The officers are retired for the length of service or for their own free will to retire, according to Decree 121-23. The officers will receive a pension from the Dominican state according to their rank and specializations within the service.
The same decree establishes the promotion of those placed in retirement, increasing their pension benefits.
