77-year old Puerto Rican singer Jose Feliciano has chosen to celebrate his 50th year in the arts with a concert at the Teatro La Fiesta of the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel on the Malecon of Santo Domingo. Feliciano has been awarded more than 45 Gold and Platinum albums and received countless Grammy nominations, which he has won nine times, including one for his artistic career.
“José Feliciano: Un ídolo” is a compilation of the Puerto Rican singer’s best songs of all times.
Feliciano is considered a virtuoso performer of the Spanish guitar, and with his powerful and unmistakable voice has performed and published more than 600 songs. His record sales are estimated at 50 million copies.
