Elizabeth Silverio insists she is a graduate of the University of Florida

Kogland Center autistic children learning center owner, Elizabeth Silverio insists she has a title from the University of Florida in education. During a televised interview for Revista Tele 15, she presented a legal translation as proof of her title.

Silverio defended herself from accusations of fraud presented by investigator Nuria Piera. Piera accused Silverio of posing as a false neuroscientist, a graduate of the University of Florida, Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, West Indies University and other prestigious higher learning centers.

During the interview, Silverio stressed she was who developed the concepts and programs for her Kogland Center, but a staff of duly accredited psychologists were those that worked with the children. Silverio said she was the administrator and did not exercise as a psychologist. But she insisted she was the creator of the programs and spoke of her successes treating autistic children. Piera had documented her program interviewing Silverio when she was consulting with a child.

Silverio says she was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and learned the concepts that work by applying them to herself. She said her program has been very successful with the children she treated in another center and in her own.

Following the airing of the show, when Nuria Piera proved the irregularities in the operation, the Ministry of Public Health closed the center and sent the parents to find space for their children in public CAD facilities.
