The Dominican Republic women’s senior volleyball team, ranked 10th in the world, plays Italy (ranked 4th) on 15 June 2023 in the continuation of the League of Nations Championship. The DR team traveled to Hong Kong for the second stage of the prestigious volleyball championship. In a previous match in Hong Kong, the DR lost to Poland (ranked 8th), 3-1. The scores were 23-25, 28-30, 25-23 and 17-25.
The DR team is now in 11th place, behind Italy.
The DR next plays Canada (ranked 13th) on 17 June and Turkey (ranked 6th) on 18 June.
The DR then travels to Korea to play Germany (ranked 12th) on 27 June and Korea (ranked 27th) on 29 June, and China (ranked 3rd) and Serbia (ranked 5th) on 30 June.
