
Santo Domingo is the cohost of the 24th Central American and Caribbean Games taking place from the
inauguration taking place in San Salvador, El Salvador on 23 June to 8 July 2023. The competitions begin in Santo Domingo on 24 June 2023.
For the Dominican Republic, it is a way to prepare for the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games that return to Santo Domingo in Summer 2026.
The best athletes of Central America and the Caribbean will compete in venues in Greater Santo Domingo from 24 June to 8 July 2023.
Of the Dominican team, 84 competitors, 32 coaches and staff will remain in Santo Domingo for the events that are being staged here.
