Dominican pitcher, Domingo German of the New York Yankees accomplished the feat of pitching the Major League Baseball’s first perfect game since 2012. He kept the Oakland Athletics off the plate on Wednesday, 28 June 2023. The Yankees would win 11-0 in the game played in Oakland, California.
As reported by MLB, the game was the fourth perfect game in franchise history and the first since David Cone’s dominant performance against the Montreal Expos on 18 July 1999.
It was the 24th perfect game in American League/National League history and the first since the Mariners’ Félix Hernández’s pitched on on 15 August 2012, against the Rays in Seattle.
