Diario Libre dedicated an editorial to the last contribution to the newspaper by outstanding Cuban writer Carlos Alberto Montaner. Montaner chose to pull out his plug in Spain, a country where he had previously lived and that allows euthanasia. In his last writing, Montaner calls for more countries in Latin America to authorize assisted death. In the United States, 10 states allow euthanasia. Other countries that allow euthanasia and assisted death are Belgium, Holland, New Zealand, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Portugal and Canada. In Latin America, it only is possible in Colombia. \
