
The Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona) announced that for the first six months of 2023 exports of companies operating in duty free manufacturing zones reached US$4.038 million, a new record for the Dominican Republic. Adozona says the half year export figures are 2.9% more than for January-June 2022.
Free zone exports make up 64.8% of total 2023 exports so far. Total exports were US$6.228 million for the first semester of the year.
Adozona has forecast a record US$10 billion in free zone exports for the end of 2023.
