The ranking is published by the Global Initiative, an independent civil society organization against transnational organized crime, based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The index provides a detailed overview of organized crime dynamics in the 193 UN member states. Countries were evaluated according to the magnitude and nature of crime and their resilience or ability to counter organized crime activities.
