Magnus Kristinn Magnusson / Listin Diario

Local authorities and Interpol are searching for 36-year old Magnus Kristinn Magnusson, an Icelandic citizen who is described as an outstanding table tennis player in Iceland. He speaks English and his native language. According to his sister, he had entered via Las Americas International on 3 September 2023 and should have returned to Iceland on 10 September. He was a no-show to his flight. The family does not know his whereabouts.

His sister Rannveig Karlsdóttir has expressed concern for his safety and says they are desperately looking to locate Magnusson. On her Facebook page, she explains her brother cannot be reached by cell phone and there has been no activity on his social media accounts or his bank account.

She said her brother measures about 1.85 cm tall and is slim and athletically built. He has gray-blue eyes, dark hair and the last time he was seen, had a dark beard.

Those who may have information about Magnus’s travels or Magnús’s fate can contact the Police in the capital city area at 809 444-1000 or Magnús’ sister, Rannveiga Karlsdóttur, at 660-4313 in Iceland.

The Interpol is asking for any person who knows his whereabouts to contact the Police or the Interpol.
