The Ministry of Public Works announced the detour of traffic off the Duarte Highway starting Saturday, 7 October 2023 and into the old Villa Altagracia road. The detour is part of works to place a pedestrian bridge over the 6 de Noviembre highway, in the Las Arenas community, near Quita Sueño, Haina.
The detour in that section was scheduled from Saturday through Sunday, 8 October 2023.
