Abinader attends IDB forum and meetings in DC

President Luis Abinader participated in the Responsible Investment Forum sponsored by the Inter American Development Bank on Thursday, 2 November 2023 in Washington, DC. The forum gathered several regional heads of government who were in Washington, DC for the US government-organized Americas Partnership Leaders’ Summit (APEP) meeting convened by the US government.

Also part of the panel were Ecuador President Guillermo Lasso, Uruguay President Luis Lavalle and Costa Rica President Rodriguez Chavez. The Responsible Investment Forum was moderated by IDB president Ilan Holdfajn. Also present were US secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen.

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, in partnership with the United States government, hosted the Americas Partnership – IDB Responsible Investment Forum on 2 November 2023 on the occasion of the Americas Partnership Leaders’ Summit that gathered regional heads of government in Washington, DC at the invitation of the US government.

Featuring heads of state and high-level officials, as well as investors, academia, think tanks and businesses from across the Americas Partnership countries, discussions at the forum honed in on strategic trade and investment opportunities provided by greater regional integration, with a focus on four key sectors: sustainable infrastructure, semiconductors, clean energy and medical supplies.
