Recent two-time Pan Am Games gold medalist Marileidy Paulino was in Barahona to mingle with students participating in the 10th National School Sport Games Barahona 2023. She called the games an excellent contribution to keep children away from crime.
The National Institute of Physical Education (Inefi) of the Ministry of Education organizes the games.
Around 3,500 athletes from all around the country are participating in 19 sports from 7 to 17 November 2023 in Barahona and San Juan de la Maguana, Azua and Bahoruco cities.
