The network of government museums in the Dominican Republic is inviting everyone to take part in “Christmas Nights” on 15, 16 and 17 December. The event is a time to visit the government-owned museums in the country for free and to participate in Christmas-themed activities.
In addition to the normal exhibitions, the museums have added guided tours of important exhibitions, and art workshops and Christmas music performances for all the family. Expect catchy Christmas music starting at 5pm on the three days of activities.
Most of the activities are centered at the museums in Plaza de la Cultura in Santo Domingo, but there are events programmed for museums all around the country. An extensive 12-page program is available online.
