Cap Cana adds more properties for wealthy tourists

The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort and Residences, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024, is included in Forbes Travel Guide’s 30 Most Anticipated Hotel Openings Of 2024. St. Regis Cap Cana is a Marriott luxury brand.

The company is marketing the property as the first major luxury hotel brand that isn’t an all-inclusive. The 200-room hotel is targeted to all the family. It has a cigar and rum lounge, but also a kids’ club. The hotel will boast a private beach, direct access to the Jack Nicklaus-designed Punta Espada Golf Course, seven pools, seven dining options overseen by executive chef Diego Muñoz and a 10-room Iridium Spa.

The hotel rooms and suites and the residences promise ocean views and the St. Regis Butler Service.

The 67 residences include 47 beachfront properties, 15 golf terrace residences, six Astor Residences and two penthouses. Beachfront and Golf Terrace Residences range from one to four bedrooms and the Astor Residences and Penthouses range from three to seven bedrooms, with the largest penthouse totaling 20,742 square feet.

The St. Regis Cap Cana Hotel & Residences’ construction is the responsibility of Campagna Ricart & Associates, a Dominican firm. Marriott International will operate the resort. The architects are AC Arquitectos & Asociados, and the interior designers are Chapi Chapo Design & AG Interiors.

The St. Regis Cap Cana Residences offer a range of fully furnished and equipped luxury properties that meet the brand’s exacting standards. Prices vary from US$1 million for 1,400-square-foot one-bedroom apartment, featuring a living room, dining room, kitchen and terrace, to US$25 million for a penthouse encompassing more than 21,500 square feet with 360-degree panoramic views of the entire Cap Cana area.

Cap Cana is a hotel and residential area located south of Punta Cana International Airport.
