
The National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INDRHI) reported that due to the passing trough and the frontal system, the country’s main dams are 86% of their maximum water levels.
In the case of Hatillo Dam, the latter is 105.30% of its capacity and is continuously discharging water.
The dam complex on the Nizao River (Jigüey, Aguacate, Valdesia and Las Barías), is at 98.2%.
The high water level of the dams is good news for power generation..
