Weather improves as Christmas gets closer

The Center for Emergency Operations (COE) reports rains will be less as the passing trough gradually retreats. However, the stationary cold front will continue to generate moderate to heavy downpours over the country’s northern, northeastern and Central Mountain Range for the next 24 to 48 hours.

Less rains are forecast for the southeast regions, including the capital city. High surf and wave activity is forecast for the North Coast, and small boats should remain in port.

The Weather Office (Onamet) reports that seasonal chilly temperatures will continue nationwide, with lows of 19/20C in the early morning and highs of 29/30C for noon.
