Domingo Contreras is a biologist (UASD), environmental expert (City College of New York), lawyer (Universidad del Caribe) and politician.
He is now running for mayor on the coalition Rescate RD that unites the Dominican Liberation Party and the Fuerza del Pueblo for a selection of municipal candidacies.
His contender, Carolina Mejia is a graduate economist whose campaign focuses on her bubbly personality and successes in garbage collection and small neighborhood park constructions.
