Supreme Court postpones hearing against deputy Rosa Amalia Pilarte and her ties to drug trafficking

The Supreme Court of Justice postponed for 15 March 2024 the hearings in the accusations of ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) deputy Rosa Amalia Pilarte for being part of a drug trafficking network led by her husband Micky Lopez, son Jose Miguel Lopez Pilarte, and others. She is also accused of financial washing of the returns from these activities in the local banking system. The prosecutors say she cannot demonstrate how she earned upwards of RD$4 billion.
