The public hospitals Darío Contreras, in Santo Domingo; Antonio Musa, in San Pedro de Macorís; Juan Pablo Pina, in San Cristóbal and San Vicente de Paul, in San Francisco de Macorís, are those that receive the most cases of people that suffer traffic accidents.
Public Health (SNS) data indicates that from 2021 to 2023, 401,432 persons injured in traffic accidents were assisted at public hospitals. The good news is that the numbers are dropping. The numbers are: 144,309 (2021); 135,933 (2022) and 121,190 (2023).
