After several years without an ambassador to the Dominican Republic, the United States Senate is set to confirm Puerto Rican businessman, Juan Carlos Iturregui as the new ambassador to the country. US representative Adriano Espaillat (Democrat-NY) made the announcement on in his X account (formerly Twitter).
Iturregui has a consulting business in the Washington, DC. area that specializes in public policy, commerce and regulatory issues, as well as infrastructure and renewable energy projects in the Caribbean.
