President Luis Abinader said that his government is concentrated on hosting the visiting heads of government coming for his inaugural on 16 August 2024. The event will be held at the National Theater. Around 15 regional heads of state are expected.
The President said that the issue of the past elections in Venezuela could be discussed informally given the gathering of several regional heads of government, but is not on the inaugural agenda. The meeting was proposed by Panama’s President Jose Raul Mulino who will be coming for the meeting.
