The Ministry of Labor has announced a job fair specifically targeting hotels in the new Miches beach area in northern Punta Cana on the East Coast. The job fair is scheduled for Friday, 30 August 2024 in Miches, capital of El Seibo province from 9am to 2pm. The job fair will be held at the El Seibo Fire Department’s auditorium on Ave. Manuela Diez Jiménez.
Hotels want to fill 1,228 jobs that range from front-desk roles like night clerks and receptionists to culinary arts and maintenance. The list includes but is not limited to:
• Front Desk: Night clerks, receptionists, supervisors, guest service agents, and managers.
• Housekeeping: Housekeepers, room attendants, public area attendants, and supervisors.
• Food and Beverage: Bartenders, servers, cooks, chefs, and stewards.
• Maintenance: Plumbers, electricians, painters, and maintenance technicians.
• Other: Security guards, sales representatives, and administrative staff.
The Ministry of Labor emphasizes that the recruitment process is handled individually by each participating company. As a result, the hiring timeline may vary depending on the specific position and company requirements.
