Most of the current member of the Central Electoral Board (JCE) seek to be reelected. But as mandated, the Senate has begun the hearings for the five member-positions and their replacements. 103 persons have applied.
The JCE oversees the municipal, congressional and presidential elections in the Dominican Republic. It is also responsible for the civil registry.
