English and French professor, 31-year old Fernando Eusebio Peña was ordered to keep three months in preventive custody at the CCR San Pedro de Macoris jail. He is charged for sexual abuse of a minor at the La Siria public school where he taught in a rural area of San Pedro de Macoris.
Fernando Eusebio Peña says he will demonstrate his innocence in court. His lawyer says the case is just beginning, as reported in Diario Libre.
A cousin of Peña, mathematics teacher Alejandro Roberto Bello Matos, is also accused of rape of the minor. He is at large.
