Zoe Saldaña received the Grand Soberano Award towards the end of the 2025 Soberano Awards telecast from the National Theater on 25 March 2025. She is the first actress to win the award. She also won the best actor abroad award.
In her short speeches accepting the awards she spoke of her strong ties and Dominican roots and how proud she was for herself and her family to receive the awards. She dedicated the award to her late father, Aridio Saldaña. The Dominican awards mark the end to an unprecedented season of recognitions honoring the first Dominican artist to win an Oscar.
The Soberano Awards recognize the best in the entertainment business as voted by the members of the Arts Chroniclers Association (Acroarte).
