The Reinas del Caribe, the Dominican senior volleyball team (ranked 9th by FIVB), pushed China (ranked 6th) to five sets yet eventually lost the game during the League of Nations Volleyball Tournament. Both teams seek to be among the top eight teams that reach the finals of the League of Nations volleyball tournament, regarded as key preparatory event for major gobal championships. The scores of the game were 22-25, 25-17, 25-22, 22-25, 13-16.
The DR next plays the hosts US (10 July at 7:30pm), Thailand (11 July 7:30pm), and Germany (13 July 11:30am) in Arlington, Texas.
