
La Casa de Alofoke reality show reached global high viewership, setti g a before and after for YouTubers in the DR,
The hit reality show La Casa de Alofoke, streamed 24/7 on YouTube in August 2025. It ended with viewers voting influencer Crusita (Darileidy Concepción) as the winner of the cash prize, RD$1 million, and a Mercedes Benz.
The reality show was produced by Santiago Matias and streamed on the Alofoke Radio Show YouTube channel. It reached record ratings for a Latin American show.
The reality show put 10 influencers from five different countries to live together without access to TV or the Internet, but interacting with visitors that constantly entered and left the program. The participants were allowed to consume alcohol.
People were able to view the lives of the participants 24/7 for 30 days. On prime time (9pm) high profile visitors interacted with the participants. Viewers watched how the cultural differences among the participants brought about interactions and how these were dealt with by the participants.
The participants of the August reality were: La Peki PR, Giuseppe Benignini, Gigi Núñez (La Gigi), Sr. Jiménez, Karola Cendra, Crazy Design, Vladimir Gómez, Mami Kim, Luise and Crusita.
Luise Martínez and Karola Cendra were second and third, each receiving a Changan 2026 SUV.
Channel 4’s La Mirada with TV hosts Lisette Selman and Victor Gomez explained the phenomenon of La Casa de Alfoke.
A sequel has been announced for October, this time with 16 participants.
