
October 2025 was a banner month for Dominican exports, as the numbers went over US$1.25 billion, the highest in 13 years. This large number for October put exports for the year at nearly US$12.0 billion, which is a 10% increase year-to-year.
A very happy Minister for Industry, Commerce and Small Business (MICM), Victor (Ito) Bisono announced the export success as he accompanied President Luis Abinader at the awards ceremony organized by the Association of Dominican Exporters (AdoExpo).
Among other numbers that were given by the minister were the numbers for direct foreign investment, which was put at US$5.0 billion for 2025, 30% of all foreign investment in the Caribbean and Central American region.
