DR has the Number 1 prospect in all of baseball

Jesus Madé celebrated his 19th birthday and six days later he was elevated to the #1 position on the List of Prospects for Major League Baseball. Madé plays at Biloxi, a Class AA Minor League team of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Made is from San Cristobal. He is sporting an OPS of .740, with 3 homeruns, 15 stolen bases, a batting average of .257, five doubles, three triples and 20 RBIs. OPS is a special piece of data that considers on-base percentage plus slugging power. He has also received 18 bases on balls.

Madé plays shortstop and third base and was signed just two years ago in 2024 for under a million dollars.

Made is the third prospect from the Milwaukee organization who has reached the #1 spot on the Top 100 Prospects for MLB. He joins Venezuelan Jackson Chourio, who did it in 2023, and the current star of the Brewers’ pitching staff, Jacob Misiorowski, a fireballer who throws 103 mph at will.

Madé is joined at the top of the prospects list by another Dominican, Leodalis De Vries in second place. The last time that Dominicans held the #1 and #2 spots on the top prospects list was back in 2019 when Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Fernando Tatis Jr were joined by Eloy Jimenez, and Victor Robles to round out the top four positions.
