Elio Rojas, the World Boxing Council (WBC) featherweight (up to 126 lbs) champion from the Dominican Republic came home to celebrate his victory last Saturday over challenger Gustavo Espadas of Mexico. The fight took place in Merida, Mexico. Rojas said that he could defend the title in a fight in the DR if the Dominican government provided financial support.
