President Leonel Fernandez will be visiting Rome on 21 May for an audience with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican. Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso confirmed the news of the trip that had been leaked by Diario Libre. Prior to traveling to Rome, Fernandez will be attending a summit for Haiti in Madrid, Spain.
