Dominican archer Paris Goico has won a gold medal at the Pan-American Archery Championships taking place in Guadalajara, Mexico. The games, which are being held from 15-21 October, are a qualifying event for the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011.
In the distance of 30 meters, Goico scored 359 of 360, setting a new Pan-American record. He also won a silver medal in the 50 meters event, and two bronze medals in the 90 meters.
