The Estrellas Orientales defeated the Tigres del Licey yesterday to return to lead in the Dominican Winter Baseball Tournament. The Estrellas were behind in the eighth inning but delighted their fans with two runs that delivered the win.
At the Quisqueya Ball Park in Santo Domingo, Juan Francisco batted for homerun for a second time in a month leading his team, the Gigantes del Cibao, to defeat the Leones del Escogido, 7-2.
In Santiago, the Toros del Este humbled the home club Aguilas Cibaenas 10-1.
