The executive branch removed Vice-Admiral Sigfrido Pared Perez as Director of Migration in Decree 120-11 issued by President Fernandez. The new director is the former deputy for the National Progressive Force (FNP) Jose Ricardo Taveras. The FNP party has maintained a strong stance against the government’s laissez-faire approach to mass Haitian migration.
