The Aguilas Cibae?as staged a late rally to keep pace with victorious Estrellas as the two teams have distanced themselves from Escogido and the Gigantes setting the stage for the finals in the Dominican Winter League Championship. Miguel Tejada hit two home runs for the Aguilas, the second one tying the game at six before Dionis C?sar lined a single to left scoring Raul Mondesi who had doubled. Jose Vargas got the win in relief of Bartolo Colon who only lasted 2/3 of an inning.
Robert Ellis scattered four hits over five innings and Jason Lane supplied all the offense needed with a two-run homerun to lead Estrellas over the Gigantes, running their winning streak to three and maintaining a tie for first place with the Aguilas Cibae?as. Lindsay Gulin and Damaso Marte combined for four effective innings of shutout relief in shutting down the Gigantes.
