Airline requests

Today?s Hoy newspaper contains two announcements from the Civil Aviation Board. The first lists the request of US Airways for routes from Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Romana, Punta Cana and Puerto Plata to Boston, New York, Newark, Washington, Baltimore, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Charlotte (NC), Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa-St. Petersburg. This would make US Airways the most connected airline serving the Dominican Republic. Of course, not all these routes will be serviced at the same time.
The second announcement relates to Boston-Maine Airways? request for routes from the Puerto Rican cities of San Juan and Aguadilla to Santiago, Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Barahona, Puerto Plata and La Romana. Boston-Maine will also offer service to Puerto Principe via Santo Domingo and Santiago. The company is related to Pan American Airways.
