AES Andres received its first shipment of natural gas over the weekend. General manager Stephen Dahm told the press that the gas will be used to test the new installations located in Andres. The company will be supplying its Los Mina power generation park with natural gas and the 300-megawatt power plant in Andres, Boca Chica. With construction on the Andres power plant advancing, the plant could be in operation by July 2003.
