Inflation low, reports the Central Bank

The Central Bank reports that the Consumer Price Index in August was 0.65% compared to August 2011. Annual accumulated inflation for January-September is now at 2.37%. For the calendar year 2012, the Central Bank has forecast an inflation ranging from 1-5.5%. Annualized inflation, from September 2011 to September 2012 is now at 2.6%, providing for favorable conditions for flexibility in monetary policy, says the Central Bank. Sectors where consumer prices had the most influence on the CPI were food, transport and education.
