The Attorney General of the Republic, Francisco Dominguez Brito, has reiterated his request to the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) that the definitive filing of the case containing allegations of acts of corruption against Senator Felix Bautista should be revoked. The appeal was included in a request sent to the Chief Justice of the high court, Mariano German Mejia, and to the other justices, on Friday 16 November at 3pm.
“It is important to understand that the healthy administration of the investigation in terms of certain assumptions that could be attributed to this person require the revocation that was requested.” He recalls that within a strictly institutional process and for this purpose, on 27 September the Justice Department asked the SCJ for the annulment of the definitive shelving of the case files relating to the former director of the Supervisory Office of Public Works of the Presidency.
