Museums nationwide are preparing to participate in the legendary Long Night of Museums, the worldwide cultural event when museums and galleries remain open free of charge for visits through the evening, many even past midnight.
The idea is to cater to those who are interested in museum going but can’t visit during the day. It’s also an opportunity to be out and in the city with like-minded folks. Several of the country’s leading museums are participating.
Most museums in the Dominican Republic close at 5pm, and so this is a great opportunity.
