Nelson Gutierrez, president of the National Council for Human Rights has complained about the disappearance of two people who were allegedly assaulted by various members of the National Police.
The victims are Danilo Cuevas Rodriguez, a blacksmith and moneylender, and his driver who were stopped by supposed police officers at kilometer 13 on the Las Americas highway on 10 November at 1pm and made to get out of their vehicle. Since then nothing has been heard of the two men, and members of Cuevas’ family have asked the Attorney General, Francisco Dominguez Brito to intervene. They supposedly have a video showing the police officers taking the two men.
