Former Minister of Tourism Felix (Felucho) Jimenez says that he has no issues with being investigated by the Attorney General about the case of the establishment of Air Dominicana. He maintained that during his time in office as Minister of Tourism, he began the project of setting up a national airline, as the country had more than four million tourists visiting each year.
In relation to questions from the Dominican Alliance Against Corruption, (ADOCCO) which is investigating alleged irregularities in the way the funds were managed, Jimenez stressed that his role was purely and simply one of pushing the idea forward and that he personally never managed even one peso.
He said that it was strange that to date none of the investors had ever said that they had been defrauded, including Corripio, Rainieri, the Hazoury family and Luis Jose Asilis, as well as US investors.
