Following a meeting with the Vice President Margarita Cedeno de Fernandez about the economic crisis affecting the Central Electoral Board (JCE), its president Roberto Rosario said that the crisis affecting the PRD was not endangering democracy here, because it was an internal party problem.
He said that Dominicans were used to political parties having internal problems and that the democratic system was stable.
However, at the same time the crisis affecting the PRD has spread around the world. French newspaper Le Monde and British paper The Guardian posted a video of the fighting at the PRD headquarters on their web pages.
