President Hip?lito Mej?a, like any good baseball manager, has shaken up his economic team. Decree 309-03 names a coordinating team for economic policy. The group?s function is to continually evaluate the international and national economic situations and the exchange rate within the country. In a separate move by way of Decree 308-003, the President added four new members to the Monetary Board. They are Carlos Aquino Gonzalez (replacing Domingo Marte), Juan Francisco Garrig? Matos (replacing Sonia Guzman de Hernandez), Miguel Feris Iglesia (replacing Carlos Despradel) and Luis Manuel Piantini (replacing Eduardo Garcia Michel).
